There are three packs here, fighting for survival against nature and one another, not to mention all the disasters that are still occurring. It's been five years.
Five years since their deaths, since the world went quiet.
We're all that's left now.
The Paix, The Seul, The Oscuro. The Three packs.
We would see each other dead, and the city ours. However, with the world going to hell as it is, we may not get to see that. You see, there is another problem.
There are other predators out there. They want what is ours, what was once the human's. What they took from the true hunters of the world. But now the humans are gone.
And they want it back.

With spring comes plenty, comes food, comes life. However, the dangers increase in this time as well. Though the wolf packs and other predators have been stalking the dogs during the winter months, they have now backed off, as food becomes plenty in other areas. However, birds of prey, will see small dogs and puppies as an easy meal. Mothers, you are warned.

Season: Spring!!
The world is nice, and new, experiencing re-birth of all that's died during the winter. Temperatures are rising during the day and flowers are blooming, and things are generally comfortable. However, the nights can still get painfully cold easily in the 50's and 40's, while touching the 80's in the day. Enjoy the nice weather while it lasts, because it will fade with summer.

G R O C E R Y S T O R E This was a place for no animal only a few years ago. Now, the automated doors have long since worked, but luckily, somebody had decided to wedge something the way before they closed. Though all the food that can be eaten is gone, this once happy and life filled building is now a shell. The check out lanes are empty, and shelves hold mostly rotted food, and those things that are not rotted, most animals cannot open. If you're truly desperate, you can come to look for food, but there are no guarantees that you will find anything other than disappointment.

N E W P A R K While during the human era, this park was the newest thing in the city, and instead of calling it by the name that's on the iron arch-way, Gale Forest Park, the people and the dogs just called it New Park. Though, in the old days, dogs weren't much welcome there, now days, well, there isn't much to tell them no. The equipment that carried children on it, let them gambol around it, and climb on it, is starting to rust, plants taking over as well. This is a place for animals now, and many a dog can be found here, especially considering the shallow pond that lies within the grassier part of the area. Very refreshing on a warm day.

J H O N S O N E L E M E N T A R Y Where the tumbling tots would go to spend several hours of the day during the week. Old and made of brick the sprawling one floor building had closed it's doors to the public. However, since then, something has broken part of the glass doors, letting those inside. Once inside, the slick linoleum floors may be of a shock to you, though they are becoming quickly worn out. There are class rooms galore, a library full of yellowed children's books, and a cafeteria with a small stage at the front. On either end of the school, there is a playground outside, for the different age groups that attended the school.

S U P E R 6 A hotel chain that never really was a 'chain'. The Super 6 was a nasty thing even during the human era, and now it hasn't improved much. The cracked paint is peeling, and the windows are gone, doors are falling apart and there isn't much to keep one out. Inside the twelve, one level rooms, is a bed, a tiny closet called a bathroom, a t.v. that really never worked, and disgusting carpeting that just might leave with something more than fleas. Most self-respecting humans wouldn't touch the place when they were around, but as it was then, these days you can't be too picky where you spend the night. A roof is a roof, and a shelter is a shelter, it's your choice if you want to risk it.

T H E P O U N D A dark word in the animal world before the fall of man, the place hasn't improved much. Kennels and runs are rampant, and the smell of fear and anger can still be tasted if you fancy that you can. The poor beasts that were there during the last days of the humans, well, they were never freed. Those that couldn't be 'put down', were left to suffer, dying slowly of hunger and thirst. Surely, if you were to go in to see what the place was all about, the smell of death would turn you away from such a decision. There are bones still there, waiting to be found, and some say that the place is haunted. Not really a place you should be aiming to go, really.

F A I R G R O U N D S Barnes and the two arenas, the metal building filled with darkened and closed booths. This area was hosted every festival event that concerned the human race. Even after years of nothingness, you can still scent the animals they brought here, horses, cattle, pigs, sheep, goat, rabbit. Show animals for young children, and entertainment for the rodeo. Though it has a hard parking area, the soft arena dirt inside the main barn is a pleasure to walk on, though the stands, with their empty seats, and the animal shoots, empty, may make the weak of heart feel intimidated.

Paix
C I T Y H A L L Center of the city, the ragged flag still flutters on the flag pole. The two story building filled with offices is surrounded by steps, leading up to the white building. There is actually a parking garage below, and that is actually where many of the Paix dogs take shelter when the heat or storms roll through. Surrounding the building is the square, which is lined with all sorts of shops and stores, covered by overhangs, keeping the sun off the sidewalk, and providing some shade during the schorching summers.

O L D P A R K Over grown and under used even before the fall of man, this place looks nothing like the park it was supposed to be. Now, it looks like an empty lot, home to rabbit and quail, along with other small mammals that dare make their home here. There's not much shelter here, just a stray tree or two, though you can still see the frame of the swing set, standing proud, though rusted. The grass is tall, but then again, anywhere you look today, the grass is going to be tall. You can't escape it.

G R A Y V I L L I A G E The white collar part of town. At least, as far as residence is concerned. At least, where it was concerned. These are the houses where you'll see the custom pools, the big yards, and extremely nice houses that are at least two story houses, with three car garages. Some dogs are from this part of town, some aren't. Though time has passed, and life has grown, there is still something cultured about the place, as if the human populace is still there, watching the canines. Anyway, there's hidden treasure here, old toys, beds, other things of that nature, if you can find them, they are yours.

T HE B R I D G E Old as the town itself, the bridge is an old stone thing, something that has lasted even the latest turn of events. The slope that leads down to the river itself, is quite steep, and it's a pain to claw your way out of it again should you fall in. When it storms like it's prone to do in the spring and summer, it's likely to flood, taking anything and anyone that falls into it down river. Still, it's the only easy source for water in the Paix territory, and it's worth the risk to drink from the river during warmer months.

C O U N T R Y C L U B The rich and fine used to come here, to see and be seen. Now, well, now it's nothing more than another rotting building. Tennis courts, pool, spa, nothing more than more human made trash. Still, there is a chance of seeing someone here, and for most it's still a place to see and be seen, especially if you want to make a statement. The dogs in the Paix know this is a general meeting place, though the meetings are generally for more gossip than anything, and nothing serious is ever really said.

Seul
M I L I T A R Y B A S E Not technically in the city, the old military base was unused even in the old days. Long since abandoned, it was already in a severe state of disrepair, just furthered by the instances that followed the comet. There are ways inside the base and it's buildings, should you desire that badly to enter. Keep in mind though, you may find something that's not happy to find you. The buildings are concrete, and the fences are barbed, be careful upon entering the old place.

T H E H I G H W A Y The road out of town. Nothing around but the fields left unattended and useless T-poles. There aren't many cars as you might think on this road, but there may be more canines than you'd assume. This is one of the only ways in and out of town. Therefore, you're likely to meet quite a few canines traveling down this road. Your eyes may not be as useful as you think, so use your nose, or you may come face to face with an unhappy Seul dog, wondering what you're doing on their territory.

V A L E N T I N E ' S The old theater, the place where the acting troupe would go, hold auditions and preform performances. It's a grand old building, from the start of the town, way back in the day. Now, ivy and cracks snake their way up the wall, and windows are broken, but the spirit of the place is unbowed. Upon entering, the massive stage, the seats, and the dressing rooms are still intact, if just dusty. The acoustics are amazing, which makes it a popular meeting place for the Seul pack members.

T H E S T R I P Not the strip like in Las Vegas, more like a strip of a beach. Not an ocean beach, good heavens no, but the beach of a lake, that, is what it is. The sand is rather rocky, and not snow white, but it is something that you can grow accustomed to. On the opposite side of the lake, you can see part of the military base, though it's not all that easy to see from that angle. There are trees and grass that surround the place, and all in all, it's rather nice, to spend your day there.

F A R M L A N D While the Seul are the furthest out of town, they do have the dual advantage and disadvantage of having the farmland under their territory. It's a good place to look and hunt for food. Unfortunately, other predators see it that way as well. A lone dog hunting here won't do well, especially should he be hunting at night, or get separated. The wolves and coyotes would see him as an easy target, or someone trying to take what was theirs, not something you should want, honestly, not on top of two feuding packs, who don't really recognize your boundaries.

Oscuro
H A P P Y T R A I L S The trailer park. Where travelers and the hard on their luck would live. RV's. This place is still standing through some sort of miracle, though it looks like it should be in shambles. There was a little play ground on the premises, and the equipment still is there, rusting away quietly. The trees and grass have grown on unchecked, and though you can't enter most trailers, they do provide a good deal of shade, plus you never know just who you'll run into.

M I N I - G O L F An old mini- golf course, a full 18 holes. Back in the day, this was the place to go on a Saturday when you had nothing else to do. Now, now it's just an old place with things breaking and rotting and the grass overtaking false turf. Birds however, along with other creatures such as small mammals, have found the rotting structures quite satisfactory. Here is also a good place to have a quiet word, since, well, dogs can't fly, can they? Therefore, hunting where mainly birds nest would be foolish. A good place to come if you'd prefer to be alone.

A L L E Y W A Y S Though you can find allies such as these all throughout the city, they are most prominent in the down town part of the place, which belongs in the Oscuro territory. Not many dogs know just where what will lead better than these dogs, and often they make fantastic short cuts. Where prostitutes used to sell themselves, and drunks used to sleep on, these places now belong to the hounds. At night, the dogs of these packs are dangerous foes. If you don't know your way around here, best you stay away.

H I L L A R D P O O L Water's dirty, pool's filthy, but there's shade aplenty. Plus, if you know what you're looking for, there just might be some food left from the human days. Back then, this place was a mass of bodies in water during the summer, trying to escape the heat. Now, it's another meeting place, that gives more room and light to the dogs that gather here. The water may be dirty, but it's better than nothing, especially if you're not feeling lucky when it comes to crossing paths with an enemy, domestic, or not.

W A R E H O U S E # 9 Abandoned for years, this old building has long since been forgotten by most. That is, unless you have need for it. A major meeting point for the Oscuro pack, the only easy way in is through a broken window that you can only reach via fire escape. It's on the second floor, but don't worry, the wood and abandoned wares are still hardy. Well, most of them anyway, and only if you're truly lucky.
